Five Stars for The Demise of the Soccer Moms – Red Adept Reviews “…I was swept along, unable to stop reading.”
Writer David D. Sharp had this to say about Flash Fiction for the Cocktail Hour: Cathryn’s work casts familiar settings in a new, uncomfortable light where everyday scenarios escalate into something far more sinister indeed.

Terrific post, very stylish cover, GOOD LUCK! I’d think many are watching how you do this because you’re right, the world has changed and it’s both easier and harder than ever to rise above the masses. Easier because the tools to reach an audience are in our hands, harder because they’re in everyone else’s hands too. Maybe this is where meritocracy really begins.
Thanks for your good wishes, Suzanne. I’m glad you find the cover stylish, I adore it
You nailed it: easier and harder. Next week I’ll have a post about entrepreneurship. It will be a wild ride … I’m on a constant adrenaline rush.
LOVE the cover! Is that your own family member that did the photography (if I’m not mistaken)? Provocative, to say the least. My darling wifey and I have been discussing entrepreneurship quite a bit lately — very much looking forward to your next column.
Thanks Bert! Yes, this is the family member pic.
Being tied to Silicon Valley just nurtures that entrepreneurial blood, doesn’t it! Let me know what’s up.
Perfect cover, Cathryn. Was the design your idea? I’ve been giving cover design some thought the last couple days and my indecisiveness is driving me insane.
And yeah, what Suzanne said, we’re watching you blaze the trail.
Thanks, Linda. No the design idea was from the artist.
Blaze the trail? Yikes, pressure.

Let us know when we can buy it!
You know I will!
However, there will be an opportunity to get an advance copy of the novel for those who are interested in writing a review on Amazon, GoodReads or their blog [although your blog is most likely not the right venue
]
What a fantastic cover Kathryn! I love it! – Your blog is a great inspiration since you’re on the path I want to follow as well.
Thanks, Alannah. Your indie musician post was inspirational as well.
Oh deary me, I am half asleep and pretty certain I called you Kathryn somewhere in my comments to your blog, apologies. If you do get a comment to approve here from me with a messed up email address just delete and use this one instead.
Okay, what I wanted to say is that I think that is a great book cover. Actually it’s brilliant in its simplicity but powerful. The image at least in my eye conveys so much. I’m curious to know if you designed the cover yourself?
I’m planning the cover for my short story compilation and really enjoying it as I studied a bit of graphic design and have a good visual eye. Anyway, that is enough rambling from me
No problem with the Kathryn, it’s easy to slip up since I have an unusual spelling. Thanks for stopping by to comment.
I’m glad you like the book cover! It was designed by a photographer who also has some background in design.
Since you have a design background, I bet you’ll enjoy that creative process and come up with something awesome.
